Sautéed Garlic Brussels Sprouts

I don’t know why Brussels sprouts came to be loathed by children, but it’s such a delectable dish when sauteed or roasted. Here’s one of the simplest—yet tastiest recipes out there.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1/8 cup of extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, diced
  • 1 pound Brussels sprouts, sliced in half lengthwise
  • sea salt, to taste
  • pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

DIRECTIONS:

  1. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high and add Brussels sprouts. Sprinkle with a little salt and pepper. Cook until they start to brown, which will be between 7-10 minutes. Add a little water if necessary. Let that evaporate. Remove from stove top. Place in a bowl and toss with lemon juice.
